Microsoft remote desktop mac no sound12/15/2023 Laptop (Win 10 1903) remoting into a Desktop (Win 10 1809) I have had the same issue with 2 other laptops/desktops (I not tried remoting into a VM to test that aspect) The local (laptop) speakers and mic work fine on the remote machine as desired. With the same laptop and same settings as above I can remote into a VM (Win 10 1909) and I see remote audio is selected as output and remote audio is selected as input. On the remote desktop, in Windows 10 settings, I see the remote audio is selected as output, but it has no input devices found. Remote Desktop connection settings: Play on this computer, record from this computer are both checked. The microphone is an integrated mic in my laptop. To start the session with the Terminal Server or Remote PC double click on the Microsoft Remote Desktop icon.I am trying to pull in the microphone from a local machine (Win 10 1909) to a remote machine (a physical desktop-Win 10 1903).When you are finished configuring your remote desktop, click the red close button at the top left of the dialog box and your new remote desktop will be added.Click the “+” button, choose a name for the folder, and input the folder’s path to have it available. You can choose a local folder here to be available on your remote session. “ Swap mouse buttons” will allow you to use left click commands with a right-click Mac mouse. Clicking the box next to “ Connect to admin session” will allow you to connect to an administrator session on a Windows server, and “ Forward printing devices” will make your local printers available during your remote desktop session. With the “ Sound” drop-down, for example, you can choose where you want any sound to play. Click on Session tab to configure peripheral devices for your remote desktop. You can leave it default or change it as you like. Resolution, color and full screen mode are all personal preference on how you launch the Remote Desktop in you machine. Enter the Gateway information if necessary provided by your Network Admin. This is your domain login to the terminal server or remote computer. Enter the Credentials (User name and Password). Next field is the PC name or the IP Address, enter the correct information provided by your network admin. This has no bearing on the connection itself.
